Terlisa Faye Brown Sheppard
A native of Marbury, Alabama, I have been a resident of Orlando, Florida for the past 11 years. I attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1990. After working as an intern student in the Accounting and Finance Department at Maxwell AFB, I began my career as an Accountant for the Department of Defense (DOD). I worked as an Auditor for one year with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) in Silver Springs, Maryland and I then relocated to Orlando where I worked with the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS). During my 15 years of service with the government, I received numerous awards for outstanding work and achievements. I am a lifetime member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a member of Sister’s Network, Orlando Chapter.

I enjoy spending valuable time with my two beautiful daughters, which include going to church with them, traveling, and volunteering at their school. I also enjoy working with and mentoring young children both at school and at my church. My hobbies include scrap booking and fishing.

As a terminal breast cancer survivor for the pass eight years, it is my continued goal to inspire others to remain positive in their daily lives and to live life to the fullest.
